高碳钢丝经过冷拉后可得到较高的强度,当钢丝强度增加到一定程度时,钢丝分层现象随之发生,钢丝韧性下降。分层现象表现在钢丝拉伸或扭转试验时会产生纵向裂纹或开裂,扭转试验可有效地判断钢丝是否分层。在扭转试验中,常用的表征指标有扭转次数、断口形貌和扭矩-扭角曲线。

The phenomenon of delamination is that the steel wire will produce longitudinal crack or crack during tensile or torsional test. 在钢丝的单向扭转试验液压钢坝  中,若钢丝不发生分层,扭矩逐渐增加至钢丝断裂,钢丝断口呈平齐状。钢丝分层的特征:扭转次数较低,断口呈螺旋状,扭矩-扭角曲线存在快速下降后再逐渐增加至断裂。
